When you’re exhausted this way, there are many things you can’t do or can’t do properly. In this case, it is very common that a person is not able to do his or her job well, or that he or she is unable to do his or her normal daily activities.

When you’re always tired, you might, among other things, have an accident at work or put yourself in some other situation that puts things at stake.

It is also not uncommon to get flatulence and digestive problems after eating. Some diseases, such as gastritis and colitis, may also be associated with poor sleep.

5. You eat a lot of sugary foods

Of course, lack of sleep also leads to a lack of energy, and your body feels the need to eat foods that get a lot of sugar from it. These are, of course, sweets in particular.

However, as a result of overeating your sugary products and foods,  it is quite likely that you will start gaining weight for no other obvious reason.

So this need to eat sugary foods and the resulting weight gain can be a symptom that you are not getting as much or as good quality sleep as your body would actually need.
