With this natural mixture, you can polish wooden surfaces without causing changes in the color of the wood.

This mixture is made from beeswax and turpentine and has an oily composition that leaves wooden surfaces smooth and radiant.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 dl of beeswax
  • 0.5 dl of turpentine

Do this

  • Melt the beeswax in a water bath, and stir it with a wooden spoon as the wax warms up.
  • Once you have completely melted the wax, remove it from the stove, and stir slowly to turpentine.
  • Collect the mixture in a closed container.
  • You can also add some pleasant-smelling essential oil to combat the strong odor of turpentine.
  • Take a small amount of the mixture and rub it on the floor or furniture with a microfiber cloth.

2. Olive oil and lemon

This polishing treatment with olive oil and lemon is the best option for dark and worn furniture.

Natural oils effectively polish the surface of the wood and  leave a protective layer that works to repel dust. Lemon juice, in turn, disinfects and cleanses the wood.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 dl of olive oil
  • 0.5 dl lemon juice

Do this

  • You can also use refined olive oil for this purpose, as it is not put on food or skin.
  • Mix the ingredients well.
  • Use a spray bottle and spray the mixture on the surfaces you want to clean. Then use a microfiber cloth or cotton cloth to effectively polish worn wooden surfaces in your home.
