1. Sleeping
Sunburn or going to bed immediately after eating can lead to troublesome digestive problems.
While this is a relaxing and necessary way for many people, it is essential to keep in mind that this directly affects the digestive process.
Because the body is asleep, stomach fluids do not completely cover the food in the stomach. Thus, the nutrients in the food are not completely absorbed.
It can also cause problems in the esophagus, as the acidic nature of the stomach fluids causes heartburn and a burning sensation.
2. Smoking
It’s no secret that smoking has serious consequences for lung and heart health.
But some people don’t know that the risks are even higher when you smoke after a meal.
This is because nicotine combines with excess oxygen, which is necessary for digestion, and thus promotes the absorption of carcinogens.
3. Fruit after the main meal
Some people may think that fruit is a healthy option to finish off the day’s main meals. They are sweet, varied and seem to be a good alternative to traditional desserts.
But few people know that it is best to eat them on an empty stomach, either first in the morning or between meals.
This is because fruits require different enzymes to be properly digested and their natural sugars take longer to be fully absorbed.

If you eat fruit just before or after a hearty meal, it will stay in your stomach longer and can cause indigestion, flatulence and other disorders.
4. Taking a shower after eating
Taking a shower is relaxing and also good for circulatory health. However, it is not good to take a shower immediately after eating as it can weaken the digestive system.
Spraying increases blood flow to the hands and lower parts of the body, and thus reduces the amount of blood going to the stomach. As a result, your stomach may not function properly, which can cause pain, inflammation, and heaviness.
5. Drinking cold water
Drinking cold water during or after meals can cause poor digestion.
It makes foods stick and makes the process of absorbing nutrients and separating waste more difficult.
6. I drink tea
While tea is a healthy drink, it is not advisable to drink it with main meals.

7. Walking or running
It is a mistake to think that physical exercise after eating will help you narrow your waist and burn calories.
While there is no denying that running and walking are healthy, doing them after a hearty meal can cause digestive problems and discomfort.
It is therefore not recommended to walk until at least 30 minutes have elapsed after a meal. Or if you walk earlier, it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
