Skin Evening Routine: Seven Tips

Even if you don’t use makeup, facial cleansing is essential. An evening routine on the skin makes the face healthier and more youthful.
Skin evening routine: seven tips

An evening skin routine is just as important – if not more important – than the skin care steps you do every morning before you leave home. If you want beautiful skin, it is very important to take care of your skin both in the morning and in the evening.

In this article, we share seven tips that should be part of your skin’s evening routine. You can prepare your face skin for a revitalizing and restful sleep with the right products in less than 10 minutes.

Skin evening routine

1. Always remove makeup

The evening routine of the skin should include makeup removal

The first step in the skin’s evening routine is the most important: removing makeup. Makeup should be carefully removed from the face before preparing the skin for sleep. If you do not remove makeup residue from the skin, the pores will become clogged and the skin will appear cloudy on waking.

You can choose a thick and oily make-up remover if you use a lot of relatively durable cosmetics. In contrast, a more liquid and lighter product is suitable for removing very loose and natural makeup.

2. Use a mild detergent

Even if you don’t use makeup at all, the second step is a deep cleansing of the skin. This removes dirt, impurities and dead skin cells that make the skin look hazy.

Today, mild soaps and cleansing emulsions are available, and even some deep-cleaning detergents that act as exfoliators at the same time. The most important thing is to use a product that does not contain alcohol or other strong substances, as they can affect the skin’s natural pH and oils.

3. Toner for tired skin

The evening routine of the skin should also include toner to fade signs of fatigue. The toner closes the skin pores and balances and moisturizes the skin.

We recommend choosing a non-alcoholic product as it makes the skin feel fresh without damaging it.

You can also use some natural toners such as rose water, rosemary and witch hazel.

4. Use a serum appropriate for your skin

Serums are very nourishing products that are applied to the skin just before applying the moisturizer. You can apply it to your skin in the morning and evening, but most of all, they work best before bed.

The choice of serum depends on what you want from the product. In general, sera contain hyaluronic acid, collagen, vitamins A, B and C, coenzyme Q10, etc.

5. Separate night cream

Use different creams night and day

You can start using a special night cream from the age of 25. Keep in mind that the cream you use in the evening should not be the same as the day cream.

During sleep, nutrients are absorbed into the skin much more efficiently than during the day. For this reason, night cream needs to have more nutrients.

In addition, day creams usually have sunscreen, but not very many nutrients. For this reason (although such an ointment can of course also be used at night), it does not provide similar benefits.

Even if you have to invest money in two separate creams, they will last twice as long.

6. Massage works best

If you still have a couple of extra minutes of skin care in the evening, do a facial massage. An even better option is to ask a partner, friend, or family member to do it for you, so you relax even better.

A facial massage is the best way to relax your face and remove tension from it. Massage also tightens the skin and stimulates blood circulation. This allows all the skin care products you have used before to be better absorbed into the skin.

7. Sleep enough

It’s a good idea to decide on an evening skin routine by following these tips:

  • The bedroom should be completely dark (no lights of any kind) while you sleep. This includes phone and computer lights.
  • Try to sleep on your back as this position prevents wrinkles.
  • Before going to bed, try to clear your mind, forget your worries and relax your face.
  • If your face is usually swollen when you wake up, try lighter makeup and use a slightly higher pillow.
  • Too little sleep affects the appearance of the face. But too much sleep also makes you look tired the next day. Find the right balance for your health.

Remember, health is equal to beauty, and this is always true.
