  • Half a lemon and salt will help clean old bronze and copper dishes as well as various pots and decorations.

  • Trash disinfection. Mix half a cup of lemon juice with a liter of hot water and pour it into the trash. A similar mixture can also be used to service pipe blockages as long as baking soda is added.
  • The odors are kept out of the refrigerator by placing half a lemon in the refrigerator and always replacing it with a new one every week.  When preparing fish, the hands often have an unpleasant odor, the smell can be easily eliminated by soaking your hands for a while in a mixture of warm water and lemon juice.

  • Lemon juice also helps get rid of oil and grease stains on clothes. Rub the stain with lemon juice and leave on overnight.
  • Mirrors and windows remain sparkling when you mix several tablespoons of lemon juice with water in a blender. Vinegar can also be used for this.
  • If you have bought new earrings, you can disinfect them with lemon juice, just put the juice in a container and let the jewelry stay there for several hours.
  • Soap residue and dirt accumulate at the shower door. You can get rid of them by rubbing lemon on the doors before the actual cleaning.
  • Limescale build-up in a kettle, teapot or coffee maker is also easy to treat with lemon juice.  Put a few slices of lemon in a jug or coffee maker and add water. Allow to dissolve for a couple of hours, wash and dry.
  • The white laundry really makes it shine when you add half a cup of lemon juice to the washing machine along with the detergent and rinse aid.
  • You can also wash the oven by mixing lemon and baking soda. Rub the mixture into the oven and wait 15 minutes. Clean with a clean cloth. In the same way, you can also clean the washbasin and the bathroom sinks.
  • Wooden furniture gets a great shine if you mix it with mineral oil and a tablespoon of lemon. Apply with a soft cloth.

Cleaning the faucets with lemon juice

This is one of the many uses of lemon for home cleaning. It is easy, cheap and environmentally friendly to handle. First you need to take a lemon and squeeze the juice through a fine strainer so that no seeds or fruit flesh remains in the juice.

Then soak a cotton cloth in the juice and clean the faucets in the bathroom, kitchen and washing machine. This will also help clean lime and stains. Allow the mixture to act for about 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water or a damp towel. You can also add a little vinegar for a better result.

How to remove lemon odors from the closet

If there is mold in your closet, you can use a lemon to get rid of them. Lemon is a natural air freshener that helps get rid of the problem. Cut two lemons in half and squeeze the juices from them into a spray bottle. Add the same amount of water and mix well. Spray in the area you want.

Do not soak, just moisten a little. Leave on for several hours. If the odor does not disappear the first time, do the treatment again.
